Reflection EEND 675B

I truly enjoyed this class, Foundations of Education Technology, because it gave me an overview of how to incorporate technology into my classroom.  In this pandemic, teachers all over our country have been forced to change our lessons into online value.  I like computers and I like technology, but I also value traditional classrooms, where students are writing with a pen, communicating and connecting with one another, and reading material that teachers use to make relevant to their lives.  I wasn't sure how I was going to have students connect to one another and me on the computer.  I think our district did a great job of introducing us to some technology applications that may help me resolve this issue, but this class helped me use them.  In this course, I was able to experience Twitter, flipgrid, padlet, and much more. Two artifacts from class that I would like to share are a portion of my research essay on retrieval practice teaching and my poster for a technology-rich classroom. My poster focuses on a novel I teach in my English II Honors class, 1984. I look forward to learning, experiencing, and experimenting with new technology tools in this endorsement program to help me in my craft.
